Using Tazain

Terms of use

Version 2 · Effective 28 August 2026

These terms apply both to people using Tazain for their own pets and to veterinary clinics using the clinic workspace. Where a section applies to only one of them, it says so.

Tazain is a care coordination tool

Tazain helps people organise pet-care information and connect with clinics. It does not replace professional veterinary advice, diagnose a condition, or guarantee that a clinic can provide a particular service. Contact a veterinary professional or local emergency service when an animal needs urgent care.

Reminders and due dates in Tazain reflect what you or a clinic recorded. Tazain does not verify that a recorded date is clinically correct, and a record’s source — owner reported, provider recorded, or verified — is always shown so you can judge it.

Who you are contracting with

Tazain is operated under the trading name Tazain. The registered entity, its jurisdiction and the governing law of these terms are not yet published here. Until they are, these terms are offered for information and any dispute should be raised with us directly at the address below so it can be resolved without recourse to a forum neither of us has agreed.

Your account

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher, to hold a Tazain account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials to yourself and for what is done through your account.

Records you add belong to you. Granting someone access to a pet gives them exactly the scopes you chose, for as long as you chose, and you can withdraw it at any time. Tazain does not use your pet’s records to train models or sell them to anyone.

You may close your account at any time. Closing it applies the deletion behaviour described in the privacy notice: records a clinic authored are retained as that clinic’s clinical history with your references removed.

Clinic terms

Registering a clinic creates a business relationship between the clinic and Tazain, and the person registering confirms they are authorised to act for it.

  • Verification. A clinic is reviewed before it is published. Tazain may ask for evidence of registration and may decline, pause or reverse a verification.
  • Suspension. Tazain may suspend a clinic — removing it from discovery and from its workspace — where verification fails, published details are inaccurate, or the clinic or its staff breach these terms. Where the reason permits it, the clinic is told what it was and how to resolve it.
  • Staff accounts. A clinic is responsible for the accounts it invites, for removing staff who leave, and for what those accounts do in the workspace. Clinic access to a pet’s records depends on the owner’s consent and ends when the owner withdraws it.
  • Accuracy. A clinic is responsible for the accuracy of the name, address, contact details, services and hours it publishes, and for keeping them current.
  • Clinical records. Records a clinic authors remain that clinic’s clinical history and are retained even when a pet parent deletes their account, with the owner’s and pet’s references removed.

Clinic and provider information

Clinic names, locations, ratings, hours, phone numbers, websites, and directions may come from Google Maps Platform or another named data provider. That information can change, so confirm important details with the clinic before relying on them. Tazain Partner labels are separate and appear only for clinics matched to an approved Tazain clinic profile.

Your use of Google Maps content is also subject to the Google Terms of Service and the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Tazain, probe other accounts, interfere with service operation, or submit clinic claims you are not authorised to make. Access may be limited when needed to protect users, clinics, the service, or third-party provider quotas.

Warranties and liability

Tazain is provided as it is. Beyond what these terms say, and to the extent the law allows, Tazain gives no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, that a reminder will arrive at a particular moment, or that information supplied by a clinic or a data provider is accurate or complete.

To the extent the law allows, Tazain is not liable for a clinical decision made in reliance on information in the product, for a veterinary outcome, for lost profits or lost data, or for indirect or consequential loss. Tazain’s total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Tazain in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred euro.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Tazain and delete your account at any time. Tazain may suspend or end access where an account or a clinic breaches these terms, where it is necessary to protect other users or the service, or where the law requires it. Where it is possible to do so, you will be told the reason and given a chance to put it right first.

Changes to these terms

These terms carry a version and an effective date. A material change is announced in the product at least 30 days before it takes effect, and continuing to use Tazain after that date means you accept the new version. If you do not, you can close your account, and a clinic can ask to be unpublished.
